Anyone out there know the advantages/disadvantages to Blogger Beta? I've been asked if I want to switch and I'd like to know what I'm getting into...

Good job last night! I did okay last night, but I just ate a brownie right now. It was made with love and care by a good friend, so yeah, I chowed down!
Anyway, I switched, and it's just the same unless you want to use their updated templates. If you have any customizations on your side bar, it totally gets rid of them. You can add lists if you want, but you can't just add html over on the side. I didn't like that.
Other than the updated templates, it's pretty good. The dashboard is much easier to use, and your post updates instantly. No more watching the little timer thingy.
Oh, and you have to be already signed in if you want to comment or you will lose all that you already typed. Which I am about to do. Nope, I smartly copied and am pasting...
So there you go. I say switch if you want to, or don't unless they make you.
I think it makes things more difficult. I'm not taking advantage of a lot of the features because like totegirl said, if you update the template it erases all the stuff you have in your sidebar. The problem with signing in and posting comments is annoying, but I've started doing the same thing - typing my comment and then copying it so that when blogger bounces me off the screen to log me in I can just come back and paste it back in when they say I've signed in. That's my 2 cents.
I haven't switched either. I get that message everytime I blog about switching. I like how I do it now, and don't want to change. I hope we don't HAVE to in the future. PLUS after reading the two comments above it really doesn't make me want to switch.
