Second Meeting

I really like going to a second meeting. It's helping me to keep my focus, and it's interesting to have a second leader's point of view, plus a whole different crowd of people with different experiences. I really enjoy it and I can't believe how it helps me keep my head together when it comes to making the right choices.

Last night my leader said 2 things that really hit home for me:

  1. "What you eat in private, you wear in public"- this struck a cord with me. How often have I filched a cookie and didn't track it thinking that it wouldn't make a difference? Plenty of times. Those calories do add up, and frankly, I'm tired of "wearing" them.
  2. "You should prepare and prevent rather than repair and repent"- This is my new mantra. I'm trying to get into the habit of preparation. This includes mental rehearsal, and extreme preparation (like making polenta chips to go to SOB's with).

I took a peek at the scale this morning, and things seem to be traveling in the right directions, I'm happy. That combined with the good meeting last night, I'm feeling rather motivated.

Awesome. So, do you have to weigh in at the second meeting? Do they put a little sticker in your book? I don't know why this would bug me, but it would. I don't want a sticker under Week 6 if it's actually my second visit of Week 5, and I don't want to weigh in on any other day by Saturday.

I'm glad the scale is moving in the right direction. I will actually be seeing a gain for the first time in 5 weeks. But as Sarah at Living to Feel Good advised, I'm not going to beat myself up for it. At least my habits are 99% better than they were before WW!

Great Job Alanna! You rule!
