If I had only know that I was going to be uninvited to my looney coworker's wedding maybe I would have actually gotten it together to train so that I could be doing my annual race with Amazon Hil! Well, it used to be my annual sprint tri with Amazon Hil. This is the first time I'm not going in about 8 years.
Alas, no, I had no idea any of this stuff was going to play out this way....so, there is no way that I'll be racing. I still can't find a race that suits my needs. There still is the fall...it's not to late to train for a sprint.
I'm going to finish this post later, or do another post later. I'm going to do some racing research in the hopes to motivate myself!

I was reading some of your recent posts and was struck by the needle in the eye lid story. Turns out, I had the exact same thing in college. I never worried about it until one day, I saw an old man with the same thing and it was huuuuge. It looked like a raisin. It scared me so bad that I went to the campus doctor ASAP. When I got there, he told me that it needed to be removed, but that he had never worked so close to an eye before. He also told me that his surgical skills were suspect. But, I had no insurance so I let him hack me up. It turned out fine, but talk about nervouse when he gave me the initial shot. You are right, your instincts are to twitch. All well, it's all good now. Take care
