My new house!

These pics are not in the order that I wanted them to be in...but blogger was having issues with uploading pictures...so you all are getting a very strange tour of the new house.
This is the house from the back. I like the yellow paint, but I think it could use some deep red shutters and a red door.
The bathroom. The old owner left us a plunger, a hamper, soap, blue toilet paper and a shower curtain. Very nice, yes?
This is one of the bedrooms. Not too big, not too small.

This is not the kitchen. This is the summer kitchen in the basement. We plan on turning it into a family room with a wet bar. Might as well make use the the plumbing that's already in place.

This is the actual kitchen. We're going to replace everything so we can make the best use of this smallish space. The window gives a view of the street.

This is the living room. It has a really nice fire place in it. We want to take down the wallboard, paint (my father-in-law is a decorative painter and photographer by trade) and cover the ugly fireplace stone with tempered glass tile.

Finally, the front of the house. Cozy, yes?

OMG adorable! I do miss basements. We don't have them here because of the geology and flooding. How sweet to have all that extra space!

I personally love the look of painted paneling, so I would just paint over it all. See how lazy I am! Haha! I'm so excited for y'all! I love the house. I especially love the color of the exterior. You are right on with the shutters and the red door. Or even dark green. Anything to punch up that gorgeous facade.

((((HUGS!!!))))

Congratulations!!!!

I love the idea of that basement kitchen -- even if you renovate, is there a way to leave some of that kitchen functional for entertaining? It would be great for parties!

I totally had problems with blogger yesterday also.
Anyway congrats on the house! it looks like there is lots of room to make your mark on it. Best of luck! When do you move in?

Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog. I love the title of this one.

Congratulations on the house and the baby on the way. Hopefully you have enough time to get things the way you want them before you bring Baby home. Looking forward to the after pictures.
